Gladys’ End May Be Oh So ‘Satisfying’ When [Spoiler] Gets His Hands On Her
We were so hoping for Sasha to deliver a one-two punch to Gladys when she finally confronted her on General Hospital. Sweet, sweet revenge justice was going to be delivered and we were here for it! But instead of taking what she deserved, Gladys dug in even deeper and called the cops on Sasha, sending her right back to Ferncliff. And now, it’s time to flee.
Gladys, though, isn’t going to get far and what happens next is likely to have fans cheering. First, according to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Sam pays a visit just as Bonnie Burroughs says she’s packing as fast as she can for Puerto Rico. Gladys is more ticked than anything else and when Sam lays into her about being a crappy mom, she snaps and bemoans everything she’s lost. Sure, Gladys. That totally justifies tormenting your daughter-in-law.
But Sam isn’t her real problem. Because once Sonny shows up, things go from antagonistic to downright chilling… and maybe even fatal. Gladys tries convincing him that Sam is the real problem, but Sonny only plays along for a little before he says, “I know everything. I know all about your lies.”
He lays it all out to Gladys’ growing horror. Because tangling with Cody, Sam and Dante is one thing. They’re the good guys. Dante is a cop. They’re looking to trap her in a cage of justice. Sonny, though, plays by his own rules and has his own code. So when he asks Sam to leave Gladys alone with him, it’s just sheer, mind numbing terror.
“Gladys says to Sam,” Burroughs teases, “who she has no use for, ‘Please don’t leave me here with him.’ But she leaves.”
We’d be lying if we said we weren’t already getting chills thinking about it. “Gladys,” Burroughs says, “thinks she is going to be killed. She’s terrified.”
That’s very much the correct response when you’ve angered Sonny and he wants some alone time. With that said, Gladys is family, more or less, so that may carry some weight with Sonny. Still, while we aren’t entirely sure what will happen, Burroughs assures us, it’s “going to be very satisfying for the fans.”
We’d say it was nice knowing you, Gladys, but that would be a lie. So grab your popcorn and get your seat ready, because we know the viewers are out for blood. And we don’t see Sonny playing nice.
