General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, November 8, reveals that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) learned Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) was having a going away party for Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) before admitting she was going away as well.
Tracy announced that she was leaving for Amsterdam and said Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) was going to help her sort out Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) affairs.
In the meantime, Tracy hoped Olivia could restore normalcy since she felt “Eddie Maine” aka Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) fantasy had gone on long enough. Olivia also got a warning to keep an eye on Lois since Tracy didn’t trust her.
Meanwhile, Lois found “Eddie” struggling over the same old song and pushed him to stop moping.
Although Lois suggested a break or working on another tune, “Eddie” was adamant about finishing this one.
Lois finally helped “Eddie” approach his writer’s block with logic and said he had to put himself in his character’s shoes.
After Lois talked about going in the water and finding the girl with the voice, she pushed “Eddie” to take a leap of faith.
At the boathouse, “Eddie” kept working on his song and heard echoes of his own voice inside his head. After taking off his boots and jacket, “Eddie” took a literal leap of faith by jumping into the nearby lake.
After Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) showed up in Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) office, they bickered until Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) got them to admit they missed each other.
Maxie also seemed touched when she learned Brook Lynn came to check on the situation with Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) since she was so close to all the Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) drama.
After Brook Lynn took Maxie’s hand and shared a warm moment with her, she headed back to the Quartermaine mansion and found Tracy wrapping up an argument with Olivia.
Tracy gave Brook Lynn updates on her trip to sort out Luke’s affairs with Bobbie, so Brook Lynn offered support.
Back with Maxie, she was stunned when she learned a photoshoot opportunity opened up with a hotshot photographer named Salvadore (Matias Ponce).
Maxie agreed right away, but then she had second thoughts and worried Sasha wasn’t ready.
Sasha argued that she wouldn’t know if she could conquer challenges until she tried and pushed Maxie to trust her.
Maxie assured Sasha that she did and excitedly got the ball rolling on all their photoshoot preparations.
In Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) office, he found Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) waiting for him. Michael hugged Drew since he was so relieved to see him out of Pentonville.
Carly still wanted to find out who turned them in for insider trading and why, but Drew assumed it had to be Ned.
Michael piped up to hint that it could be someone else who was targeting Carly rather than Drew, but Drew just wanted to put all that behind them.
At GH, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) asked Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) why Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) would want to abduct Ava Jerome (Maura West), but Austin played dumb and said to go through his lawyer on any other questions.
At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse, he told Ava that she was in bed with the enemy and didn’t even know it.
Ava denied being romantically involved with Austin, but Sonny still felt she was blind to Austin’s role in her abduction.
Sonny explained why he was convinced that Austin and Mason’s boss was Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
Ava found out that Austin fought for Cyrus’ release while Mason was holding her hostage, so Sonny felt that couldn’t be a coincidence.
After Ava pointed out that Austin must’ve done that to protect her, Sonny argued that Austin put her in the crosshairs and that his first loyalty was to Cyrus.
Ava recalled being so desperate for Austin’s help with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) before Mason showed up to blackmail her.
Now that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) had proof that Nikolas was alive, Ava knew Mason had been lying the whole time.
After Ava flashed back to Austin insisting he had no idea Nikolas survived, she said Austin had probably been lying, too.
Sonny said Ava was smarter than this and pushed her to admit Austin had been playing her from the start.
In Mason’s hospital room, Chase warned that he was looking at two decades without parole.
Mason’s only chance was to reveal who was pulling the strings, but Mason wanted a deal to walk free before he’d spill who was running things.
Austin lurked outside the window until Chase left and then confronted Mason about what he told the cops.
Mason pretended he blamed Austin for ordering the kidnapping, but Austin didn’t believe him.
Austin also urged Mason to make a deal to give up Cyrus, but Mason felt that’d be a fatal mistake and urged Austin to rat out Cyrus himself.
Back at the Quartermaine mansion, Lois spoke with her mother over the phone before talking to Olivia about “Eddie’s” Quartermaine side trying to come out.
Lois thought it was good to give “Eddie” space, but Olivia hinted that there was such a thing as too much space – like just enough for someone else to slip right in.
Of course, Lois insisted she wasn’t there to slip into anything with Olivia’s husband and warned her not to let Tracy mess with her head.
After Lois sent her to the boathouse, Olivia found “Eddie’s” discarded shoes and jacket. Olivia grew concerned as she seemingly realized “Eddie” had jumped into the water.
Back with Lois, she warned Brook Lynn not to be so quick to turn down her grandmother’s Deception offer, but Brook Lynn didn’t want Tracy’s gift.
Tracy said she heard Lois was leaving and was sorry she couldn’t join the angry villagers in running her out of town.
Lois took some jabs of her own before Tracy headed for the door on her Amsterdam mission.
General Hospital spoilers say more curveballs will hit Port Charles soon enough, especially after the news of “Eddie’s” latest mayhem spreads.
