When you follow a series for a long time, you become literally obsessed with whatever is going on in it. And soap operas are the ultimate source of late night fun or nerve-wrecking scenarios that you will keep replaying in your head over and over again. General Hospital knows it better than anyone.
But what can be more intriguing though than the new love story that is unfolding right in front of us? And one of the recent stories attracting viewers is of course the one with Trina and her new love interest. The thing is, the fans of the show are not ready to welcome Gio as the guy who is about to steal Trina’s heart.
One of the main reasons why the fans of the soap opera hate the pairing is the fact that Gio is just too young for Trina, and it’s too cringeworthy to have them in a romantic relationship.
“I like Gio and I like Trina, but he does seem a little young for her. I guess he is 21, as evidenced by him popping a beer with Trina, Joss, and Dex last week. Personality-wise, he seems younger than Trina and Joss. Those girls have been through a lot, so it makes sense. I want Trina to have a fun, breezy, flirty summer with no heavy drama. Another thing is that the fans are finding it too hard to crack Gio at all, even outside the couple. He seems to be this golden retriever character who is just too friendly, and there’s no way he would fit in General Hospital’s cringeworthy crew.
After all, there’s a chance that the show’s writers will come up with a better idea than just putting unlikely characters together as a couple. Maybe Gio will find his own place in the show’s paradigm and we will stop cringing every time he appears on screen.
