General Hospital Rocked by Shocking Departure and Two Major Returns!
Hold onto your IV drips, General Hospital fans, because Port Charles is about to get a serious dose of drama! We’ve got a heart-wrenching farewell, a long-awaited homecoming, and a ghostly reappearance that will leave you speechless.
Michael Easton (aka Dr. Finn) Says Goodbye
In a move that has left fans heartbroken, Michael Easton, who has portrayed the beloved Dr. Hamilton Finn since 2016, has announced his departure from General Hospital.
The actor took to Instagram with a late-night video message, saying, “I have always been partial to the Irish goodbye,” admitting his preference for slipping away quietly. But he clearly felt his fans deserved better, adding a heartfelt thank you for their support.
Easton’s departure comes at a poignant time for his character, who has been struggling to cope with the recent death of his father, Gregory. Finn’s battle with alcoholism and subsequent downward spiral have been a central storyline in recent episodes.
In his final scenes, Finn made the difficult decision to leave his young daughter, Violet, in the care of others while he sought treatment for his addiction.
“This is devastating!” cried one fan on Twitter. “GH won’t be the same without Finn.”
No official reason has been given for Easton’s exit, and there’s no word yet on whether the role of Finn will be recast.
But wait, there’s more! As one beloved character exits, two familiar faces are making their way back to Port Charles.
Lucky Returns!
Jonathan Jackson, who originated the role of Lucky Spencer, son of iconic couple Luke and Laura, back in 1993, is set to reprise his role this summer.
Jackson’s last appearance was in 2015, but this time, rumors are swirling that he’s back for a longer stint.
“Get ready for some serious Spencer family drama!” teased one excited fan.
And if that wasn’t enough…
Morgan Corinthos Rises from the Dead (Sort Of!)
Get ready for a ghostly encounter, because Bryan Craig is reprising his role as Morgan Corinthos for a special episode.
Morgan, who tragically died in 2016, last appeared as a vision to his parents, Sonny and Laura, back in 2018.
While details of Morgan’s return are being kept under wraps, Craig has been dropping hints on social media, even posting a photo from the General Hospital set.
One thing’s for sure: with a shocking departure, a long-awaited return, and a ghostly visit on the horizon, General Hospital is about to deliver a week of must-watch drama.
Don’t forget to stock up on tissues and buckle your seatbelts, because it’s going to be a bumpy ride!
