General Hospital (GH) spoilers’ recap for Wednesday, September 20 reveals some shocking revelations, as major storylines continue to unravel in the land of Port Charles.
First off, there were two major confrontations during Wednesday’s GH episode. Felicia Scorpio
(Kristina Wagner) and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) are watching Maxie Jones’s (Kristen Storms)
kids at her new place when James West (Gary James Fuller) tells Mac all about how Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) showed him how to properly tie a sailor’s knot.
As the three of them chat, Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) show up with some bevies and games to help keep Lucy’s mind off her Deception lawsuit. James wants to play, but it’s past his bedtime, so he heads upstairs to sleep, and the four adults chat it up.
Of course, Maxie comes home, and it doesn’t take long for Lucy and her to talk about their hate for Tracy
. In the midst of the conversation, Lucy brings up the fact that Tracy offered a 49/51 split of Deception if Lucy handed over her 1% share in ELQ, and how she declined the offer.
Maxie loses her temper finding this out, and the argument gets heated between the two ladies. So much so, that little James wakes up and tells the crew that their “games are too loud”.
Maxie tells her son she’ll re-tuck him into bed, but not before she turns to Lucy and lets her know how selfish she thinks she is for not giving up her ELQ share for the sake of the company and everyone’s livelihood.
Lucy leaves Maxie’s house quite upset, but not before Scotty reassures her that everything will end up being okay. Lucy notes how Scotty has always been her knight in “tarnished” armor.
Over at the hideaway cabin, Cody and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) bond, when he re-iterates they should “disappear”, but she insists they need to stay.
As they start talking it everything that’s happened, he confessions that he’s known for a long time that Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has been taking advantage of Sasha, dipping into her accounts to pay off gambling debts, including selling Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage.
Cody also confesses the reason he didn’t come forward was his agreement with Selina Wu (Lydia Look) during her gambling games at the Savoy.
Still, Cody tells Sasha that he knew “enough was enough” when she stabbed him at the Metro Court pool. He said that he saw a rapid change in her personality, and he had a gut feeling that Gladys was behind Sasha’s sudden eradicate behavior.
Cody asks if Sasha is upset with him, but she tells him that she’s thankful that he rescued her, but moreover, happy that he believed in her. They decide to “sit and wait” to see what Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) say during their next visit.
Meanwhile at the hospital, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) cross paths. Brook Lynn blasts her granny for blackmailing her into turning on her Deception crew.
Tracy’s granddaughter makes it clear that she’s lost her job at the company thanks to how she helped Tracy get the goods on the Deceptor, but that now leaves her free to pursue music full-time. Tracy argues that she does not want to see her go down the same terrible path her father did, and how music almost ruined Ned Quartermaine’s (Wally Kurth) life.
Brook Lynn informs Tracy that she no longer has any blackmailing evidence to hold over her head now that she’s come clean with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Brook Lynn may have lost her job, but Tracy’s officially lost her granddaughter.
Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) arrives at the hospital for an appointment with Dr. Bronson (Jeffrey Stubblefield).
Before he has a chance to do so, Finn Hamilton (Michael Easton) is able to corner him to talk about his condition and treatment. Nervously, Finn believes that while Dr. Bronson is a good doctor, he focuses more on “treatments” and not the patient.
While Gregory seems skeptical at first, he ultimately agrees to share more information with Finn so that he can help him find another neurologist, for a second opinion.
After their chat, Gregory and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) share a conversation where he reveals he’s thankful that both of them spoke up to him about this.
While Finn is at the nurse’s station, Tracy gets off the elevator complaining about the late-night hospital board meeting and her fight with Brook Lynn.
A backgammon game may be in order, but before she and Finn secure a night, Gregory swings by and offers to buy Tracy a soda from the machine. She agrees, and as they both grab a can, she opens hers easily, while he struggles.
Tracy asks what’s wrong, and Gregory finally admits to her that he has been diagnosed with ALS.
Across town, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) visits Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and fills him in on her hotel room invasion. She decides to take him up on the offer of protection, and he agrees to help.
Sonny questions if there was videotape surveillance from the Metro Court, and Anna tells him that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) said it had vanished.
Sonny questions Anna on trusting her boyfriend; however, while she acknowledges his imperfections, she defends his loyalty to her. Still, before they end their conversation, she does provide a newfound theory about the Metro Court shooting.
Anna believes Sonny was the target as the last two incidents that have occurred in her orbit (the house fire and recent ransacking), don’t fit the profile of a shooter. They both agree that the shooting was a warning from both Pikeman and the WSB.
Lastly, Valentin brings Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) to Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) office for a quick visit on today’s GH episode .
The three catch up, and neither Valentin nor Nina brings up what they saw on the Metro Court surveillance video. Valentin asks Charlotte what she was up to today, nervously, and she states she hung out with Jake Spencer (Hudson West).
As it’s “late” he decides that maybe Charlotte should have a sleepover at Nina’s instead of going back to Dante’s. Both are excited at the thought. He takes Charlotte to get packed up, but before he leaves Nina’s office, he instructs the blonde to “get it off the server” as he closes the door.
Fast forward to Nina’s condo, and Valentin settles Charlotte into her bed for the night. He’s got a look of concern on his face, and he lets his daughter know how much he loves her, in turn, fans can sense that Charlotte has a disdain for Anna by the way her face changes when she says her name.
Valentin steps out of the room and sees Nina, and he’s clearly rattled; unsure how to approach the situation. The two exes have a close moment, where Nina says, “I’m here for you and Charlotte.” Valentine leaves and Nina picks up the phone and talks to Sonny.
Nina lets him know why she won’t be dropping by his place, and he understands, all considering what’s happened to Anna’s hotel room. However, he questions her on why and how the Metro Court video footage could be missing, but they both agree the threat is mysterious.
Scenes flash back to Charlotte, alone in her room at Nina’s place on the bed. She pulls out a stack of cards, which appear to be tarot cards, and with an evil smile, she deals them in a curvy line on the comforter. GH fans can clearly see shades of grandma Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) in young Charlotte!
