General Hospital Recap: September 29 – Gladys’ Escape Derailed – Sam’s Trick Works – Victor Controlling Charlotte

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 26, reveals that Sonny Corinthos

(Maurice Benard) told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) about someone defying his orders when they went after Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Sonny felt like he was losing control lately, but he assured Anna that he wasn’t throwing in the towel.

That helped Anna realize that she wasn’t ready to turn the page either, so she agreed they had to keep fighting and privately wondered what else she didn’t know about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

At their new home, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) assumed Anna didn’t help decorate since it wasn’t really her style.

Valentin pointed out that Anna needed somewhere to live since her house burned down, so he asked how Charlotte would feel about her moving in.

Charlotte insisted she’d go along with whatever would make Valentin happy, but she troubled him when she pulled out a deck of tarot cards to get guidance.

Although Charlotte claimed she got them from a girl at camp, Valentin looked suspicious and recalled disturbing incidents related to Anna.

Charlotte’s flashback revealed that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) was the tarot card deck sender and letter writer.

That letter urged Charlotte not to trust Anna and invited her to use the tarot cards as powerful tools to guide her.

Back at the hospital, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) took Jake Webber (Hudson West) to his office, where Jake seemed embarrassed over crying about Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) condition.

Finn mentioned that he recently received some difficult updates about someone he loved and cried, so he didn’t think there was any shame in that.

Jake felt like everyone he cared about left him and opened up to Finn about that as Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) eavesdropped. Finn insisted he was there for Jake, so Liz looked touched over his support.

Since Jake didn’t want to sit around and do nothing, Liz took him to the chapel so that he could light a candle, say a prayer and send positive thoughts Drew’s way.

Finn also crossed paths with Anna and mentioned that he’d called a few times after hearing about her ordeal.

Although Finn knew Anna had other people she could rely on, he didn’t want her to forget that she had him as a friend.

Meanwhile, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) blew up at Ava Jerome (Maura West) and blamed her for Drew’s injuries since she figured Ava must’ve tipped off Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) to Sonny’s scheme.

Carly argued that Drew was too smart to get sloppy and acted like Ava was the only way Drew’s plan to score info for Sonny could’ve spread.

Ava denied telling Austin anything and added that it wasn’t her fault that Drew was in Pentonville.

Carly asked what that was supposed to mean and kept ranting at Ava as Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) stood nearby.

Sonny eventually shut Carly down and said he knew for a fact that Ava hadn’t spilled anything.

After Carly found out Drew’s surgery was a success and that he’d make a full recovery, she calmed herself and apologized to Ava. Carly also thanked Sonny for being there for her and shared a tender moment with him.

In the GH chapel again, Liz got a message on her phone and delivered good news to Jake about Drew’s condition, so he hugged his mom in relief.

At the PCPD, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) surrendered himself, so Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) placed him under arrest.

Chase seemed suspicious since Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) seemed to know more than he was letting on and wanted to interrogate Cody alone.

Once Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) arrived, she demanded answers about Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) whereabouts and was stunned to learn Cody was there alone.

Gladys ranted about Sasha’s dangerous kidnapper, so Cody fumed since Gladys was the dangerous one!

Cody privately told Dante that he couldn’t wait to testify against Gladys and put her away, but Dante warned that they had to prove she was working with Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder) or else Cody would be the one going to prison.

At the cabin, Sasha marveled over Cody putting everything on the line to protect her, but Sam suggested that Cody thought she was worth it.

Sam got a text to notify her that it was time for the next phase of the plan, so she made a phone call to Gladys and covered up her identity using a fake accent.

Gladys was alarmed as Sam pretended she was calling about the DA’s office subpoena for all Sasha’s banking records, which were to be handed over today.

Soon after, Gladys raced home and was trying to pack a suitcase in a hurry when there was a knock at the door.

Sasha was standing there looking livid when Gladys opened it.

General Hospital spoilers say Gladys is about to face Sasha’s vengeful outburst, so stay tuned!
