General Hospital Spoilers: Mason’s Grim Exit

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) time on the show may be coming to an end. Mason has never felt like a long-term character anyway, but his latest actions certainly have fans questioning just how long he can stay alive.

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) isn’t someone you want to mess with, but Mason is crossing major lines and putting himself in a terrible position.

The more stunts Mason pulls for his boss, the more likely it becomes that he’ll face a grim fate.

That’s especially true now that Mason has snatched Ava Jerome (Maura West) as part of Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) plan.

Even Mason himself will start to realize he’s in trouble, so he’ll make some choices that won’t end well for him.

Although Sonny showed Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) mercy – presumably due to their family connection – he has no reason to let Mason flee or face any punishment other than a grisly one.

Sonny can focus on prying info out of Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth), so Mason isn’t really necessary when it comes to finding out who their boss is or uncovering Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) info.

Cyrus is actually the one who ordered Ava’s kidnapping, but Mason will know Sonny’s not going to let him off the hook for his part in Ava’s ordeal. As soon as Ava blabs what happened, Mason’s life will be at stake.

Is This Really The End of Cyrus's Reign of Terror on General Hospital?

Between the threat of prison and the threat of Sonny’s revenge, GH spoilers say Mason will feel backed into a corner.

Once Mason drives Ava to a Pautuck cliff, he’ll get a surprising phone call from Cyrus. It turns out Cyrus will decide Ava should survive, so he’ll give Mason updates on that decision.

Mason will hang up and plan to go rogue by causing Ava’s demise despite Cyrus’ change of heart. There’ll be some scary moments, but all signs point to Mason being the one to face a horrible outcome instead.

After all, soaps don’t usually make a cliff part of the story unless someone’s going to take a tumble off it!

Since it’s surely not going to be Ava who falls, Mason makes the most sense as the person who’ll be forced off the precipice instead.

Ava might give Mason a shove to protect herself, but it’s also possible Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) or even Austin could arrive on the scene to give that lethal push.

Regardless, this seems like the perfect time for Mason’s exit, so stay tuned to see if Austin’s cousin is a goner.

General Hospital spoilers say some exciting GH twists and turns are still to come, so we’ll pass along more news on what’s ahead for Mason.
