After learning that Sam was murdered by someone, Dante decides to investigate the matter himself. However, Anna,
concerned for Dante’s well-being, gives him a week off work to cool down and encourages him to let his colleagues
handle the investigation. Despite Anna’s good intentions, Dante remains unsettled and unwilling to wait for the
results.
In the episode airing on February 6th, Dante confides in his mother, Olivia. She expresses her sorrow over Sam’s unjust death and suggests that Dante allow Anna to take charge of the situation. Meanwhile, Rocco accidentally overhears their conversation. This revelation prompts Rocco to inform Dante about what he has learned. Portia ultimately uncovers that Sam, Dex, and several other patients died due to someone intentionally injecting digitalis into their systems. Brad, having run tests that confirm digitalis was the cause of the deaths, grows suspicious of Cyrus and theorizes that he might be behind the tragic events. In response, Portia suggests a plan that could trap Cyrus.
Nina, recognizing that her daughter is becoming increasingly involved with Drew, feels compelled to take action to protect her family. In a bold move, Nina reaches out to Carly, her long-standing rival, proposing a partnership to combat Drew. Initially reluctant, Carly eventually agrees to collaborate with Nina for the sake of their children.
